Family Reunion on 9 June 2007

It was good to have a family reunion on Saturday 9 June 2007 in Otley. Our immediate family (Joanna, Gavin, Rowan, Emily, Michael, Matthew, Julie and Benjamin and of course, Judith & Anthony) were there. Thank you to all members of the extended family and friends who also came to celebrate this occasion with us on a lovely summer's day, the last one for some time! Pictures will be uploaded onto the website as soon as the computer can be persuaded to do this!

Rowan Elkington

Recent News: 

Welcome to Rowan Clare Elkington who was born at 9.57 a.m. on Thursday 5 October 2006 in London. A very convenient date as it is also Judith's birthday!

She weighed in at 7lbs 14 oz and is Joanna's and Gavin’s first baby and the second grandchild of Anthony & Judith. Rowan lives in Walthamstow when she is not travelling around Australia where she attended the wedding of her Aunt Emily on 17 November (see news item 'Emily & Mike get married' and picture gallery). Her current hobbies include feeding and sleeping. She is also making a strong claim for an entry in the Guinness Book of Records: so far she has travelled on London buses, taxis, trains, underground/tube, long-haul jets, Sydney taxis, buses and Sydney Harbour ferries. She is a frequent traveller on GNER journeys to and from Leeds.  She nows goes to nursery for a couple of days a week and is enjoying her new surroundings in the house she has moved into recently with her parents. Nickname: “Ro from the Stow”

Old News

Judith & Anthony (Tony) left Claremont Drive in Headingley over 2 years ago. After a brief 6 month spell in Ilkley (where they failed their probation) they moved to Otley, a  market town half-way between Ilkley & Leeds in Yorkshire. http://www.otley.co.uk/
Their current hobbies include cooking, eating, walking, grandchildren,  gardening, singing, travel, forgetting things and sleeping.

Progress Update on Benjamin Hartigan

Benjamin (Matthew & Julie's son), who is 2 years old, is now running about, kicking a football (with his left foot of course) and talking (a lot). He lives in a new house in Rothwell (SE Leeds) where the family moved in January. He goes to Nursery School 4 days a week. His current hobbies include eating, laughing, music, football, gymnastics, feeding the swans and ducks on the River Wharfe in Otley and sleeping.
